The Day Camp at Eisner is located on the grounds of URJ Eisner Camp in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. Our Day Camp Pavilion was specially designed for our campers, providing ample space for activities, changing, and relaxation. Beside the pavilion is the Rabbi Bernard Zlotowitz playground, an oversized, enclosed area with plenty of room for games, exercise and free play. The Day Camp program also takes full advantage of Eisner’s amazing facilities: two heated swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts, sand-beach volleyball, indoor theater, as well as its fully-staffed health center.
Staff members are selected on the basis of their maturity, understanding of children and commitment to the ideals of the camp. They are specially trained to help our campers get the most out of their summer experience. Many staff members return summer after summer, bringing a sense of spirit and continuity to the camp. In addition, members of Eisner Camp’s rabbinic faculty participate in special Day Camp activities. The program is directed by Robin Gossett, a certified teacher with years of grade school experience, who has been at the helm since the Day Camp’s founding in 1991.
The campers are children ages 3-8 whose families are either year-round or seasonal residents of the southern Berkshire Mountain region of Massachusetts or New York. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association.
